Job Profile

An Operation Theatre Technician (OTT) plays a vital role in the healthcare sector by ensuring the smooth functioning of the operating room and supporting surgical teams. Key responsibilities include:

  • Preoperative Preparation: Prepare and arrange surgical instruments, equipment, and sterile drapes.
  • Assisting During Surgery: Assist surgeons by passing instruments and supplies during surgery.
  • Postoperative DutiesInspect, maintain, and repair surgical equipment as needed, Document surgical procedures, instrument usage, and patient information accurately.
  • Cleaning and Sterilization: : Clean and sterilize the operating room and instruments after surgery.
  • Equipment Maintenance::Inspect, maintain, and repair surgical equipment as needed.
  • Patient Care: Assist in preparing patients for surgery, including positioning them on the operating table.
  • Safety Compliance: Adhering to laboratory safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
